Unsung hero's of the aquatic and sewage world. These things do their absolute best to help manage excess fish feed, bacteria, and detritus.
Additionally their constant burrowing helps prevent compaction of sand or gravel allowing oxygenated water to move deeper into the substrate and preventing hydrogen sulfide pockets ("the rotten egg smell").
Safe for all freshwater setups. Work wonderfully with all shrimp, snail, fry, and fish.
Even though commonly used or find their way into sewage there is no job they are above of. They will keep your tank clean if you can appreciate the tiny red lines. Occasionally they will venture beyond the substrate and become a delicious snack for your fry or fish.
